Remember when the police couldn't just walk into a person's house without a warrant? Remember when a person used to be able to consult a lawyer if he/she were detained? Remember when they used to have to charge a person with something in a reasonable time or drop it? In fact, remember when they used to have to have a valid reason for throwing a person in jail - trials, judges, juries, that sort of stuff?

I consider those lost personal freedoms and I wonder what's next; curfews?

Ah, that I am, but in the realm of personal freedoms, where the U.S. leads, I fear Canada will one day follow. I don't believe our fearless leaders are any more in love with the concept of personal freedoms for anyone but themselves any more than yours are. Beside, who wants to live next door to a police state?
