If you mean you don't want them to see it, you can hide it.

If you don't want them to edit any data into it, they won't be able to until the modal window is closed.

For a quick example, create a form and drop some text boxes and a command button on it. In the command button .Click, put

MESSAGEBOX("This messagebox is modal")

Note that you can't edit the text boxes in the parent form until the modal window is closed.
