This must be some confusion. What I meant is that printing in text-mode is often faster, but that it doesn't work on all printers.

In both cases, you can test if you can send a text-file to the printer. In VFP, this might be with the "???" command.

You may also have to check the manual, to see if it is compatible with Epson; if not, what commands to use for special effects like bold, etc.
