Rex,

A Top-Level form cannot be modal.

>I understand what you are saying and that is what I am doing. I have a modeless top level SDI form calling modal child SDI form. Yet I can still click on the menu, command buttons, etc of the top level form whilst the child form is open and they work!
>
>I even added the MESSAGEBOX() command and it DOES prevent me from accessing the top level form. So what is it that the child window needs to have that is missing? I have the child window layout Property of WindowShow = "2 - As top-level form" and the Other Property WindowType = "1 - Modal".
