>Did you see it as much as what NY Times did with the Abu-Graib. Over 45 frontpage news about Abu-Graib. Ok already. we get it, there are few bad apples in the military. >

That is exactly the story the Pentagon and the Bush administration have been selling, that it was a few bad apples. Lower echelon bad apples. The reason the Times and other serious news organizations have kept this alive is the steadfast insistence (lie) that this is all over and done with and the rank and file who did it have been punished. In fact, the pattern of abuse and the flaunting of the Geneva Convention has been clearly demonstrated to have emanated from the top. It went from Donald Rumsfeld down to the generals to the majors and captains all the way down to the prison floor and unwary screwups like Lynndie England. And they want to blame Lynndie England and a few other soldiers for the whole mess. That is just plain wrong. Rumsfeld et al will never admit their involvement, it's just not in their nature, but good for the Times for trying to inform us about what really happened.

Also, as Alan said, the beheadings were all over the news, too much so for comfort. If you want to blame everything on the media you are looking for excuses in the wrong place.
