These rights are guaranteed to CITIZENS, not foreign nationals. Even so, we haven't been granted rights to do anything we want. As a supreme court justice has said, "we may have freedom of speech, but that doesn't give us the right to yell fire in a crowded theater."

There is no violation of due process here. Wiretaps require a court order, which is part of due process. It's just giving us a better ability to catch crooks.

Sorry, I don't accept anything from the American Communististic Lifestyle Union. Once again though, the only area where wiretaps and searchs can be done without a warrant involves cases dealing with foreigners, not US citizens. Too bad they didn't have those rules in place pre 9/11.

I don't trust the government anymore than you, because I've seen what goes on and I know how easy it is for powers to be abused. However, the patriot act is good for law enforcement and ultimately good for our country's security.
