I have heard the same things about SQL 7.0 and I have played with the beta under Win95. I, too, am waiting for the Embedded (Personal?) Version. And I would agree with you entirely, people should get used to VFP to SQL Server as being a primary topology. It's pretty simple with the SQL7 features you pointed out and it's scalable.

I agree. In line-of-business applications, if you can get over VFP being a fat client, it beats the heck out of VB as a simple, RAD front-end.
