Nothing to do with software. He was looking for general simple questions to make someone think.

Answer: Venus is the 2nd planet from the sun. Earth is the 3rd. Therefore you should always look towards the sun.
i.e. East in the morning, West in the afternoon. If Venus happens to be visible at that time of year, that's where you'll find it, close to the sun.
