I've been having a problem with error 109 - record in use by another, which I should be able to fix by changing my set reprocess setting from 0 to automatic.

But I'm concerned that, becuase I'm in the middle of an open transaction, if the lock takes too long to clear (say 15 seconds), other users will be locked out.

It seems like I may end up with a deadlock situation with tables, where user X tableupdated table A and is trying to update table B, while user Z tableupdated table B and is trying to update table A.

Is this possible? Any other issues I should consider?
