Your main program MUST be an EXE, but the EXE can call an APP. That is, unless ALL your customers already have VFP installed on their machines. In other words, if you create an application which consists of more than one executable files, only the highest level program, usually consisting of menues and maintainance procedures, must be an EXE. And don't be confused by the word application in this last sentence, with application I mean a set of programs, which is not the same as application in Build Application.

Setup files as App: Yes, if you call them from your main EXE.
Virus: not a problem if you have a good anti virus program, I have never had any attack. Is an app safer? Maybe, maybe not..
Refox: yes, can break application.
