There are some free or near free SQL Server management tools that you should be able to download. Google them. If you can connect with them, the problem is with Crystal. If you can't connect, the problem is the connection.

>Can I connect from VFP? Good question.
>
>Unfortunately the answer is no because I don't have VFP on my machine since I ended my one and only full-time VFP contract two years ago due to health reasons and gave them their software back that they had purchased just for me to use.
>
>So I am VFPless and ready to go on permanent Social Security Disability as soon as I finish up this lone Crystal Reports project of which there are about 12 reports in the nearly completed stage.
>
>The customer might just go ahead and send me their site license proprietary software they use for their workstations for their proprietary SQL Server database/tables and I hopefully will be able to connect then.
>
>Maybe they have SQL Server site license too that they could share with me to get this done.
>
>I was approved for Disability after a Hearing before a Judge in May so I am finally qualified after a 2-1/2 year wait. I had to seek Disability because of my pacemaker implant and on-going heart arrthymias and pre-diabetes. I have good days and bad, but not enough good in-a-row to handle a 9 to 5 full-time gig.
>
>So I hope spend time working on my eTail site, FansGoWild.com, which has seen limited success given that I have not had any time to promote or market it. I put it in my wife's name though, in case I get too sick to take care of it. I see the Cardiologist in late August so he can evaluate me again.
>
>I know this more than everyone wanted to know, but I can't wait to knock these reports out and hang up my computer business, at least temporarily.
>
>I'll probably know in a couple of days if I can get the customer's software and perhaps have a successful ODBC SQL Server connection party at my house.
