Is there something in IIS that would generate the ASP page to not be accessible anymore if no ASP page has been accessed since a certain period of time?

We are facing the situation that a server which is not usually responding to some ASP extension, but only .HTM extension, would not recognized an ASP file if we start to access one after a long period. Basically, it returns file not found. However, if we IISRESET /RESTART, the ASP files will start to be shown ok to the browser.
