You shouldn't have a problem using FoxPro 2.x tables in VFP 5.0. The only thing you need to avoid is modifying the structure of the tables in VFP. If you accidentally do that, you can copy the table back to a 2.x table using COPY TO ... FOX2X.
>I have some tables that were created in foxpro 2.x that I am using without a problem in foxpro 3.0. We are currently converting the foxpro 2.x programs to visual foxprom 3.0, but now I need to use visual foxpro 5.0 to display jpegs. My concern is that I will not be able to use these tables in visual foxpro without making them unusable in foxpro 2.x. I have to continue to use the old tables until their conversion is done. I know visual foxpro 5.0 is supposed to be backward compatable, but I would like to hear about any problems anyone has had before I head forward.
