Wild guess... Would it be possible to put text type info into Memos & Graphics into General? This way you would know the type of data you are dealing with and could possibly handle it better using Word Basic commands.

To be exact, Use the General field type to store OLE objects & Memos to store other types of data? The bottom line of what I am trying to say is to possibly seperate your data between graphics & text just so you know what your dealing with.
