Peter,
So how are you sending it? The ones I know (CDOSYS, SendMessage and wwIPStuff) allow you to put contenttype ='text/plain' in message header.

PS: Actually I haven't yet found a way to send emails the way I want. They have goods and bads and trying to merge their goods. ie: I can send async emails from wwIPStuff but using that I have problems if user's account is set to use SSL etc. CDOSYS passes that but didn't yet learn how to send async from it:)
Also recently I switched from 'text/plain' (was default for wwIPStuff) to HTML because its layout was better < g >.

>>Oh from within outlook select "Plain Text" from toolbar where it says HTML by default. Also you can make that default using options\Mail format.
