The line number of your code might be buried somewhere within the stack trace. If the actual exception doesn't come right from your code, but causes an exception say within Microsoft's assemblies, those line numbers aren't shown.

Then again, sometimes the stack trace doesn't give you much. Not sure why, but sometimes the line of my code that is the beginning of the problem doesn't show up in the stack trace.
