It does have a useful purpose to reduce message count and duplicated effort when trying to resolve a problem along multiple thread paths...
but I agree with you it's quite often just abused and clutters inboxes needlessly.
I've got it! Michel can pop up a dialog box each time the checkbox is checked and force the sender to confirm multiple times that they really do intend to post the message to more than one person, that'll at least make it as inconvient for the multisender as it is for the multirecipient. *LOL*
