Oh I think it's designers that bother you. I agree, they bother me too at times and I have little prgs in my developer folder that I use to bypass designers and do them in code quickly.
Class Browser somewhat does it the way you want (not exactly like C IDE). For me visual designers is good at positioning and rest could be done faster in code (but again there is aselobj which let me 'code' while a designer is open).
