Doesn't matter anyway, because I was wrong about the scope of SET ENGINEBEHAVIOR -- it's global and stays the same in all data sessions. Memo to self: test before shooting off mouth. :-)

Have you checked the value of ENGINEBEHAVIOR immediately after you set it in main? (Perhaps it's misspelled)?
