If you want to have control over how many times and in which order expressions should be evaluated, use a loop. I am really surprised that you still can't understand a simple thing - If you are using SQL statement, query processor chooses algorithm, NOT YOU. Under different circumstances, the same SQL statement may be executed using different algorithms. If result of a SQL statement evaluation has any dependency on a particular algorithm chosen by the query processor, there is a bug in the SQL statement and you should fix it. If there is no dependency on a particular algorithm then it doesn't really matter how many times and in which order expressions are evaluated because this doesn't affect the result.

Hi Aleksey,
you keep on misunderstanding my thought, and honestly I don't have
still understands if motive is my bad English,
or it is one prejudice of yours,
or a different vision of the things.

I know well thing to wait me from a declaratory language as SQL.

Certainly I have never used, and I won't use, a function that depends on the number
of calls or from the order of call in a command SQL.

But is not this the point!

The point is:
THE DONE THAT AN ALGORITHM RETURNS A CORRECT RESULT
IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THE SELECT ALGORITHM IS IT DEPRIVED OF BUGS
OR THAT IS IT THE BEST POSSIBLE.

Since the applications that I write depend on the algorithms of VFP,
I consider permissible to criticize them when they are not the best possible,
or someone has to show me that it is not possible to do better.

It is not a fun to use my time
(lately I have started over describing what I see because
I known that Randy and others ( you ? ) are working to the SP)
to describe these matters,
but it is only a stimulus to improve VFP so that also my applications,
improves.

Obviously the Team are free to modify them or less,
I am free to continue to use VFP or less
(not to say me to change the packet of development if I am not satisfied,
you have told 2 years ago already me him)

Thanks
Fabio
