Sorry, for probably a silly question. But as far as I can understand - there (in the UK) impossible to find job directly - only through intermediate (recruiting agencies).
So, company has to pay to this agency 80 GBP per hour for you and you like developer will have something about 10-15 GBP per hour... And you cannot switch on a direct contract to make developer and direct employer happy?

Is it correct or I am wrong?
