OK I have my main form now As Top Level and modeless and my search form as the same. The problem I have is that the user will go into edit mode which enables the controls on the screen and then click on search. The form now shows up on top of my main form.

The problem I have is that although the search form stays on top the user can still click in the fields on my main form. This cannot happen.

This is driving me nuts!! I know its my lack of understanding which is the problem!!! Basically I want the top level form at that point to tbe the only form allowed for edits!
