You are wrong. It certainly is EASIER to get a job via agency (after all, that IS their raison d'etre) but jobs can be got via the usual channels of answering ads or applying foe them directly. Whereas agencies do take a percentage of your salary from the employer, I very much doubt it's higher than (or even as high as) the salary, and it's ON TOP of the salary, i.e. like a finder's fee to the employer for finding you. I understand this fee is payable for a certain negotiated length of time and notr during the whole employment period.

Anyway, that's my understanding
