Cetin ive either found a bug or something with my machine. Having done what you said and investigated the problem I now have it working with settings that you said. The reason for this is because the thisform.autocenter property was set to T in the load event of the search form.

Therefore my main form is modeless and As Top Level

The search form which is invoked from the main form is In Top Level and Modal.

If I set the autocenter property to .f. on the search forms load event even if it is by default it works fine. If I set it to T the form wont display anywhere on screen. I have tested and tested, created new forms and I get the same problem.

Im starting to wonder whether this is a bug and I may need a patch or something. Has anybody else expereinced something like this before?
