So far the idea could be this :

1) lock the Id table
2) read the value
3) store on the view the value incremented by 1
4) attempt a TableUpdate()
5) if successful, write back the incremented value into the Id table
6) close the Id table
7) execute the code to handle the eventually failed TableUpdate, and when this is over, re-attempt the whole pass.

What do you think about it ?
