You are right about agencies... And very interesting point about saving money on advertising by potential employer. There is only one small problem as usual - to find this right way :)

Employers DO like to get workers directly, so avoiding paying the fees to agencies. That is why it can be worth approaching a company directly yourself, even if they're not obviously recruiting (that way they save the advertising costs too!)
