>>The groundskeepers are good too. Do I want to watch them mow? Probably not. The great thing about golf on TV is the way the camera shows sky for a minute every so often. Sky is nice. I like looking at sky. In fact, if they did away with showing people walking and squatting, which is unfortunately most of the show, and showed more sky, it would be a much more pleasant sport.

>Not a golf fan are ya....
>I played high school golf. Then I tried to walk on a college team golf team in Texas. Well, those guy are good. Shooting 78-76-75 ain't good enough to make the team. You've got to shoot scratch or better.

I played golf maybe a half dozen times in my life. Go out and hit a little ball every so often and drag around what seems to become 200 pounds of golf clubs for 3 or 4 hours, and think, "I got up at 4:00am on a Saturday for this??" Jeez.

My best round was an 84, and that was the last time I ever played. My best friend, Steve, loved to golf. He as actually a decent golfer. He got it from his dad and an uncle who used to rush out to the golf course at the crack of spring with their clubs and a snow blower. His problem was his lack ability to deal with pressure and stress. That last time we were out, he had one of those days where he could do nothing right no matter what. He would top the ball a few yards, walk out and top it again. He actually gave up after the 9th hole. Said he was going back to the clubhouse and would meet us there when we were done. Well, he couldn't stand it and rejoined us on the 11th tee. He ended the day at 176. No telling how high he could have gone if he'd played the 10th hole with the rest of us.
