Thanks, Cathy. I had read about that at some point in trying to nail this down, but it seemed I had to make the fields a good bit wider and I didn't think that it would have affected it quite that much. I was expecting only a fairly miniscule change. Do you know the reason for this? It would seem they could make the newer technology draw the same characters in the same abount of space . . .

>This is a known issue with VFP 9. The reason is that it uses GDI+ to render objects whereas prior versions just used GDI. There is a slight difference in the width calculations which can result in you seeing **** in numeric fields. You must adjust the width of the numeric fields slightly to accommodate the slightly larger output.
