I could make a joke about there being no light of day down the tunnels.
EVERYONE is wondering. It's on all the major TV channels. Beats the hell out of me! First (yesterday) we hear that the Met Pol commissioner tried to keep it all "in-house" and prevent an independent investigation, but not too fishy - by evening there's calls for his resignation. What I can't fathom is the "eye-witnesses" (ear-witnesses would be more approp.) said AT THE TIME, outside the Tube station, that 3 shots were heard, cops running onto the train shouting, now it's escalated through 5, 7, now I've heard 8 shots (what, were 5 in case he got fed up with the first 3?)
All this info from yesterday came from "leaked" reports. Did no journalist collar one of the witnesses? They talked to them on the street at the time. I find it very worrying, even being a blond caucasian - what if they're searching for a run-of-the-mill caucasion murderer in future. This all seems tantamount to death squads.
We don't get that many police shooting in the UK and the ones that do happen get full publicity - but it seems because innocent or unarmed men get ventilated. Springs to mind some years ago a guy in his Mini (mistaken identity), a black guy in his bed.
Cheers
Terry
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
