Yes, I remember. In fact I thought you had earlier declared similar.

The only thing I've fired is a 12 guage, when I was a teenager. Had a hell of a bump itself!
I can imagine even worse when only the hand/arm might be involved, as in a handgun of large calibre.
With hair-trigger or automatic involved I can see the problem.
