At one time I had MS Explorer open and I highlighted FOXUSER.FPT and FOXUSER.DBF (my version, in my folder, resources = on and directed to my folder), and then went over to VFP and quit the application, and right there in my own eyes, I saw FOXUSER.FPT literally disappeared from MS Explorer! I went over to the trash bin, it's not there. I did a search for the file and the only file I found was the default one in VFP directory. How can it disappear like that? Got any ideas on how this could happen? Corrupted memo fields? This has been happening since I upgraded VFP (6.0 to 8.0).

Hello again, I deleted foxuser.dbf and foxuser.fpt and it did not work. FPT still disappears. Yes, I have antivirus (customized by Siemens, ugh! we were just migrated to new laptops, systems and network). Found a way to exclude VFP table files in the virus scan. THANKS!
Thanks!
