Bernard,

I was searching Universal Thread because one of my clients had this problem as well. Unable to write to Registry when he is Admin. (He may have been installing on a server - he is out of office for weekend.)

Did you find a solution ever?

I had a similar problem with Install Shield as a user, trying to update Intellisync Desktop Manager for my T-mobile Blackberry mobile phone. Blackberry told me to upgrade to latest Windows SP for my PC, so the latest Windows Installer was in place. Which didn't immediately help. They then told me to uninstall the application, then go into RegEdit and manually remove any references to their Desktop Manager. In your case, and what I am going to propose to my user is to do the same, would be to remove any VFP references and any references to your application. after all this and many restarts of the PC, I was able to get the install to work properly.

Doesn't seem like it should be this hard.
