I have only used the behavior with javascript. I imagine that there is a way to use a DHTML behavior with VBScript, but I don't have any examples to show you. Any way that you slice it, you will have to employ some form of client-side script to use it.

Alternatively, if you want to give the user a choice of pre-defined web services to call, you can invent a keyword that can be typed into the textbox that tells the code-behind to call the web service using a standard .NET proxy class.
