No, it is not the same amount of data. Terminal Services is sending deltas of the screen to the client, no data at all is going trough except this image. Even so, in a good designed Web application you tipically don't send the 200 customer records, but a smaller set based on some kind of filtering or paging mechanism.

1. Ok, so in a Web App, the HTML page is transferred, in Terminal Services the screen is transferred. The screen may be smaller (or could be made smaller) than a HTML page ?.... so Terminal SErvices should be cheaper

2.In Termianl Services, the amount of data could also be limited to the first 50 records (in fact as only the screen is trnasfereed, this will be the case as only a screen size grid will be transferred .

3. The app being considered is probably going to be deployed on a Tablet pc
running XP embedded... I dont know if this will make a difference with regard to data transferred .
