Exactly. That's been my main point for several years. It is what it is.
Maybe you were someone who prefered Beta to VHS. I never read a single statement ever that VHS was technically superior to Beta. Yet VHS won the marketing war. And many went down with the Beta ship.
I've mostly worked both as a W2 and 1099 employee for at least medium sized companies. The bottom line is, I have to know what the company is looking for.
Several years ago I did help out a Telemagic salesman. An off the shelf package written in VFP. He did have problems if a sales department of a larger company wanted to buy the package. If a representative of the IT department was present in his sales meeting, there was a good chance he would meet with some resistence.
