I copied some code for sending emails and attachments from the Fox Wiki. When it comes to packaging the attachments it uses a uuencode format. I am vaguely aware the MIME could also be used. Is MIME a better way? I have had problems reading the attached files after receiving them. Usually they are shorter than what was sent. Do I need to perform uudecode on receiving the files? Was hoping to use this WIKI code which features API calls rather than something like BLAT.DLL because there has been some resistance to including more dlls in our application.

Advice?
