>>Sam, I've always preferred working at the coal face rather than in the pit office. I WAS being groomed for mgmt once, when working for "The Man", (a large bank) but a cold hand clutched my heart, and I accepted redundancy rather than carry in with them, and went solo.

As in a dread feeling I got when I realised half my life ago I'd been at art college, with all my aspirations, now I was a suit, with aching shoulders, and working for a company I hated. I could uproot and go with them to a place I didn't know and didn't like, on the outskirts of London, leave my beloved Brighton, friends, the seaside, etc. - or accept redundancy
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
