>Yes the text box is bound. The form does not have a grid, only bound text boxes. I use the Skip function to navigate the records. After the Skip I do a ThisForm.Refresh. Thank you for helping me figure this out. It looks like it could be a serious problem.

Is the text box bound programmmatically, or did you put it in the properties? If the cursor is created after the form is invoked then, in the 2nd case, this binding may be meaningless. If so, try binding it in code, after the cursor is created.

Again, you sure the cursor is writable?
