I'm in a similar situation. when I first took this job about 6 years ago, the programmers were under a very experienced IT veteran. But he went to do his own thing and they got someone she is not an IT person. IT's been two years, and she still has not caught on to what IT is about. So we just grin and bear it... for now. And as the IT/VFP job market being what it is, I'm not sure if its worth trying to move on. I'm afraid that if I do take another job, I would have to start over again.
>I came back because I changed companies...that was about 4 1/2 years ago. The place I was working at brought in someone to be my new boss. I had worked with her a few years before that and knew that I couldn't work for her, so I left.
>>Came back to coding after being "promoted" to a management position, and why?
