Linda,

>Thanks. I found the culprit but that leads me to another question. I would like to show last name + first name in the display of the combo box. In VFP I would create an array with the last name and first name in the first column and the key in the second column. Do I need to create a view that combines both of those fields into one?

Right you need to create a view or change your SELECT statement...that's the way Windows Forms combo boxes work.
