Hi All,

How does one determine the type of record set in a given work area? I'd like to know:

a) if the table is a cursor (not too hard with a check of dbf())
b) if the table belongs to a database, and if so which one
c) perhaps other sources (cursoradapter etc)

CURSORGETPROP() doesn't see to get me there... any ideas?

The use case here is a generic exportToExcel() function that will respect long filenames, captions etc if they are present for the passed workarea.
