>I hate, hate, hate Dell customer support, but if you can afford to backup your system when it breaks down there is nothing like receiving a brand new replacement (or refurbished one) within 48 hours and shipping the bad one back in the same box. The website support is great though and an easy means of keeping up to date with drivers, etc.<
Personally, I have had good telephone support with Dell. However, it might be because I am comparing it to the bad support I was receving from HP and Compaq.
One thing I do is spend $25 on this:
http://www.7tools.com/pi/comparison.htmand create an image of the HD and send it to the DVD or a USB HD. That way I don't have to reinstall programs or anything if I have a failure. I went to this tool since DriveImage was absorbed into Nortons Ghost (which I found was not as good as DriveImage).
Just my 2cents worth... :)
