Hi Everyone:

Not sure if this the right place to post, and not sure if there is another forum that someone could recommend to help solve this problem, but here goes:

I just switched from Sympatico High Speed (DSL) to Rogers Express (cable), and the switch worked ok for most of it. However, I now 1 problem:

The main problem is getting Yahoo Music unlimited to stream music with my main XP account. The full information of what I've done and my problem follows:

I can't listen to streaming audio with Rogers, and I was able to do that with Sympatico. For example, I have Yahoo Music Unlimited, where I should be able to stream songs like a radio. I was able to do this with Bell. Now, can't do it with Rogers. I am still able to download the songs, though, but I want to be able to listen before I download. Even the regular launchcast radio @ music.yahoo.com doesn't work either now with Rogers.

When I run yahoo launchcast radio, i get the following message:
"sorry, media playback failed. Error Code: 14 - C00D10B5". I've done a google search on this code (said that WMP doesn't recognize that it's on the internet) and that's how i came across all the following troubleshooting techniques that I've tried:

changing how streaming music comes into Windows MP (http, UDP, etc), changing the setting for my connection speed in WMP, turning off my Norton Internet Security, allowing pop-ups, and some other things that were recommended by Yahoo that I can't remember right now.

I am using a Router with WinXPhome sp2. I know it's not my router as I've set up my computer with a direct connection to the cable modem and still ran into the same problem. In case it was a firewall issue with Norton, I disabled Norton Internet Security and then tried again. Still didn't work.

Finally, I became really confused after this: i saw an article by a MS mvp that said 1st thing to try is logging into your computer using another account. i did that, and it works fine. Now, I don't want to go through having to reinstall Windows to get it to work with my primary account. Therefore, if someone can explain why this would work and my other XP account doesn't, it would possibly save me some time from having to reinstall everything on my drive b/c i don't want to have to always switch users.

Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to give all information so some generous soul might be able to help me out :-)
