Bad timing. Katrina will weaken back to a Tropical Storm once it hits land tonight but will intensify and turn to the north once in the Gulf. It will definitely impact Orlando with high winds and lots of rain. See the current 5-day forecast. Remember that the line is the predicted path for the center of the storm as most model predict. The 'balloon' area indicates the margin of error, meaning the center can be anywhere in that area. Generally the predictions are good so it will stay on the sea, west of Tampa , until it hits east of Pensacola. But considering that the right side is always the strong side, I expect Orlando's weather to be nasty.
