As of August 2005, according to
W3Schools, FireFox has 18.8% of the market share. IE6 has 68.9%, IE5 has 5.8%, and Netscape 7 has only 0.4% so I would say no, that is not a safe assumption. Actually, safe may not be the correct word as you safely assume that, but you would be wrong not in danger. ;)
