>To continue about the new cats. I adopted 2 who were already good friends. They are extremely different. Korky is extremely outgoing, friendly, interested in meeting new people, etc. and Wilshire is afraid of everything. Korky can be demanding. He likes spending time outside. My wife and I supervise his outside time. If we don't feel like going outside, he does his best to anoy us. Wilshire only complains if he's hungry. He also seeks out my attention when he's tired since he likes to sleep next to me.

>The only problem I have with them now, is sleeping arangments. I got them 6 months before my wife moved in. At night I left them bedroom door open and let them deside where they were going to sleep. Korkie jumped in bed everynite. Wilshire almost everynite. But they wake up 3 or 4 am and want me to be awake with them. My wife doesn't like that, so she kicks them out of the bedroom. It causes a little problem because sometimes they sit outside the bedroom door now and meow.

I used to have a great cat (another stray) named Gypsy. He was a hoot. If he wanted attention when I was asleep, he would tap me on the side of the nose (no claws). Two taps and then he'd sit back. If I didn't respond (pretending to be asleep), he'd lean forward, give me two taps, and sit back. It was always the same - two taps on the side of the nose and sit back to wait. He always won.

Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me when I took him in, he had FIV in his system. After about a year and a half, he got sick and just wouldn't get better. I took him to the vet and that's when we found out. He was put down, and when I got home, I cried like a baby.
