I'd say that the W3Schools are using a biased listing of "super users" and nowhere near the mark of the usual web consumer. IMO that is.

For your app YES! I'd say that in a collection pool of 100,000 hits your going to find few and far betweend all the NON IE browsers. I don't use IE but then why should I.
BTW, with a XP Pro, FF, no real problem. I just thought that the image chage was a bit fast. If it slowed down the frequency it would be better. You also have to "receive" all those graphics so that is the sutter that one person was talking about I think.
