I really am retired. My wife has came down with rheumatoid arthritis a few years ago and can no longer walk, she had a stoke, has diabetes, high blood pressure and a bad thyroid. I retired at fifty eight to care for her. That takes up most of my day. I have moved my computers to the room next to hers so I can be closer. With her walker and canes, she can get to a computer and have something to do besides lie in bed watching tv. (Egad!) she recently discovered that she can shop on the net.

The code I write is based on ideas that I have. No customer has come to me for an application. It's an enjoyable hobby for me and it keeps my brain active.;-)

As for the work area, I had one in the code and was getting the same result. I have an alias in it now and the problem persists. So, the digging for code continues.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

Could it be anything to do with the fact that you don't specify a work area, as in select 0, and so later on , beforeyou go to access it, maybe you've similarly opened another table in the same area?

BTW, for a retired guy, you sure keep yourself employed!
I ain't skeert of nuttin eh?
Yikes! What was that?
