That is the first time you've addressed me by name. I understand your message very well. You must appreciate that that was the second time I'd offered my help to you that day, and both times, I understand, you've used the advice. And I'm happy to help. Most other people I would point them in the right direction, refer them to a function or command, etc., but with you I take the time often to write some code as a guide for you. I lost patience with you when you asked me to debug a single line of code, where the problem was glaringly obvious, and due to a simple typing error of mine. So was the solution to why the SQL I wrote for you earlier didn't work, the ommission of two words, and you could have looked that up yourself.

Indeed yes, I do post questions when I can't find the problem, but only after painstakingly trying to debug it myself. I do not ask people to write code for me, or post examples, and I think I help out far more than I ask. Most of my other posts are just drivel or chat. I understand that people need guidance and certainly BY NO MEANS do I think I'm anywhere the best; we all know who they are!

No, you don't ask me especially (although you have emailed me on occasions for private help), but you DO come straight back at the person who has helped you with more and more questions, rather than attempting to solve the problem yourself. For this reason I imagine that some people will avoid even reading your requests, for fear of spending the rest of the day answering follow-on questions.

Now I'm sorry I've upset you, but my intention was to say "Learn to stand on your own two feet". I shall continue to offer my help regardless in the future.

Masalaam!
