Thanks for that solution, it has taught me much about adding XML field that I didn't know. Unfortunately in this case the parent table does not appear to have a unique key field so nothing to repeat in the child tables. Record number of the parent table looks like the only way to link these but I can't see how that can be done using the MSXML parser.
